Chanel’s Birthday!
Yesterday was Chanel’s 10th birthday! And over the weekend she had a pool party/sleepover. She and her friends had a great time… they even stayed up until 2am telling ghost stories.
Happy Birthday Chanel!

BBQ Cooking
I helped my mom cook dinner the other night. Then I used her camera to take these pictures:

The Girls Have Been Busy…
The lack of recent updates only means that everyone has been super busy! The girls have their dance recital this weekend (the 18th & 19th) so they’ve been busy with rehearsals. Here are a few photos from a recent dress rehearsal:

Chanel, performing Ballet…she’s smack-dab in the middle with the enormous smile!

This is from the Finale rehearsal…Cherie is right-of-center, in a peach colored costume between two little girls in purple.

Cherie and her Creative Movement class being directed by Angie, Cherie is 3rd from the left, and really isn’t as scared as she looks

After the dress rehearsal, some of the girls went to the Columbus Alzheimer’s Center to preform for the residents…Chanel, as usual, in front with the huge smile!
More dance photos will be posted soon after the recital.
And stay tuned, Sharif has some pictures to post later in the week!
Braces
Sharif got braces last week. In 22 months, a gorgeous smile will be even more perfect (if that’s even possible
)!
In other news:
Both Sharif and Chanel brought home excellent report cards last week. All A’s and B’s…they both worked really hard and it paid off!
Great job!!!

Spring Things
By Chanel Stone
Spring, Spring, flowers on the ground
birds and geese are singing.
One day I wear shorts,
the other I wear pants!
They never make up their minds,
this mixed up weather
has me on my behind!
I watch the weather it’s
never right, sometimes it gives
me a fright!
Spring, Spring make up
your mind!
Sharif’s First Attempt
Sharif’s grandfather gave him a camera…a fully manual 35mm SLR* camera. But before one can run, one must first learn to crawl. Sharif is learning the different aspects of using a SLR, including shutter speeds, aperture and ISO. Here are a few images from Sharif’s first lesson, using his Mom’s digital SLR:
